A few weeks ago my family and I went on a hike , when we were all little over half way we missed one trail marker and got off the trail. We ended up climbing straight up the side of the mountain on what we thought was the trail. There were some complaints said and lots of times we said "I don't think this is the right way." After a while, we finally found our way back onto the path. Although it was still uphill, it was a lot easier on the designated path.
We have also been given markers to help us stay on the path. Families, friends, leaders, teachers, and the missionaries:) can help each other find and stay on the right path. Even with so much support and love sometimes we miss a marker and end up climbing the mountain the wrong way. The climb becomes much more difficult than before. The good news is that through repentance, love, and the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can find our way back onto the path and continue our "hike" through life to the top.
