As I have reflected on General Conference this last week, a talk that keeps sticking out to me is M. Russell Ballard's talk about the power of prayer. In his talk he said, "After we kneel in prayer, we need to get up from our knees and do what we can to help—to help both ourselves and others."

I have thought a lot about this statement this week. I have reflected on the hundreds of times I have prayed to my Heavenly Father and then done nothing after expecting him to do all the work for me or to just suddenly fix my problems!
As we pray we ask for God's assistance in our daily efforts, but we show hope and faith in him by acting and demonstrating our trust in him walking by whatever faith we have. It is only then through our faith that God will perform miracles in our lives!
I know that prayer is one of the greatest gifts of God for us! How amazing is it that the creator of the universe, the stars, and the heavens wants to hear from you?! Not only does he hear you, but he is waiting in anticipation to help you as you walk by faith!
